AOF Activities & Events
AOF and Sac-FAN tend to host joint meetings on the last Sunday of the month. But now for something a bit different. Something Thanksgivingish but secular. The "speaker" will be the television, amplified by our pretty-darned-good sound system. The topic: football.
Yep, it's America's traditional Thanksgiving weekend activity. Who's playing? Who cares? (Psst, it'll be the Raiders at home vs. the Carolina Panthers, if you do.) The point is the company of like-minded folks who enjoy the same strategy-rich competition. Bring your favorite football snacks to share: salty and crunchy, hot and gooey, or frosty cold. If hot, please bring an electric crockpot or hotplate to keep it that way. Don't forget a serving utensil.
What if you're not into American football? That's fine. Non-FB-fanatics can go to the other meeting room to enjoy some social time while we sew, knit, and otherwise craft (or sit in for the chat, if you like), far away from the hoot and holler of that dreadful, concussion-inducing game.
It is an ideal time to work on unfinished projects or start one for gift-giving. And the crafts people, too, can share snacks. Bring your fave. Nom.
